Account Deletion
Last updated: June 17, 2026
How to request deletion
Request deletion of your Outdoorsy account and associated personal information by contacting hello@outdoorsyhq.com. Use the subject line Account Deletion Request and include your account email address, your full name if used in the app, a short confirmation that you want your account deleted, and any event, organizer, or provider role that may affect your request.
Identity verification
We may ask you to verify your identity before deleting an account. This protects users from unauthorised deletion requests.
What may be deleted
Depending on your account activity, deletion may include profile information, saved events, RSVP records, app preferences, support requests where deletion is permitted, and other personal information linked to your account.
What may be retained
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, safety and moderation records, dispute prevention, fraud or abuse prevention, audit logs, anonymised analytics, or records that cannot reasonably identify you. Private-event invitation and guest records, controlled messaging reports, review integrity records, organizer-created content, and provider/business onboarding records may require separate review because deletion can affect moderation history, launch operations, or public safety/audit records. Payment, refund, and paid booking checks will be added only after paid bookings exist.
Expected timeline
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete deletion or explain retention within 30 days where reasonably possible.
Information to include
Please include the email address used for your account, the city or city launch you used most recently, whether you have active RSVPs or organizer/provider content, and any recent moderation or support ticket reference that may help us locate your records.
