Outdoorsy support and legal
Terms of Use
Last updated: June 17, 2026
1. Beta status
Outdoorsy is currently in beta. Some features may be incomplete, preview-only, unavailable, inaccurate, or subject to change.
2. What Outdoorsy does
Outdoorsy helps users discover local events, places, dining previews, and city plans. During beta, the app supports free event discovery, save, report, RSVP, and cancellation flows.
3. What Outdoorsy does not currently provide
During beta, Outdoorsy does not provide paid bookings, payment processing, refunds, payouts, restaurant reservations or ordering, accommodation bookings, QR ordering, verified attendance claims, unrestricted direct messaging, real event chat, QR check-in, route optimisation guarantees, or AI-generated itinerary guarantees. Preview labels are informational only.
4. User responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate account information, use the app lawfully, treat users, organizers, and staff respectfully, verify event/place details before attending, follow local laws and venue rules, and avoid misuse of reporting, moderation, or RSVP systems.
5. Eligibility and account access
You must be old enough to use Outdoorsy under applicable law or have appropriate consent. You are responsible for keeping account information accurate and protecting access to your account.
6. Events and offline safety
Events and places may be hosted or listed by third parties. Outdoorsy may not control every event, venue, organizer, route, weather condition, or offline safety factor. You are responsible for your own safety, transport, health, belongings, and decisions when attending offline activities.
7. Free RSVP scope and event changes
Free RSVP availability can change. Events may be updated, cancelled, hidden, unlisted, or moderated during beta. Outdoorsy does not guarantee entry, attendance, transport, food, parking, safety, accessibility, or organizer performance. Paid-booking refund and cancellation terms remain future scope until paid bookings exist.
8. Refund and cancellation readiness
Outdoorsy currently supports free RSVP/free booking flows only unless a paid booking flow is explicitly enabled later. Payments, paid bookings, refunds, payouts, restaurant reservations, accommodation bookings, and marketplace transactions are currently disabled. If paid bookings are enabled later, the refund and cancellation page linked from this legal navigation will describe review standards and provider-policy dependencies.
9. Organizer responsibilities
Organizers are responsible for ensuring event information is accurate, lawful, safe, and not misleading. Organizers must not imply payment, reservation, refund, insurance, transport, medical, emergency, or government approval unless explicitly supported and true.
10. User and organizer content
You retain ownership of content you submit, such as profiles, listings, reports, feedback, and support messages. You grant Outdoorsy a limited licence to host, display, moderate, operate, improve, and support the service using that content where necessary. This does not make image reviews, media uploads, real chat, or generic content publishing live before those features exist.
11. Private events and controlled messaging
Private event microsites, invitations, guest records, and controlled messaging are limited beta tools. You must not use them for harassment, spam, fraud, off-platform payment pressure, bulk solicitation, or attempts to collect personal contact details beyond what Outdoorsy intentionally exposes.
12. Prohibited conduct
Do not submit spam, fraud, harassment, unsafe content, misleading listings, unlawful material, impersonation, fake reports, fake organizer claims, scraping, security abuse, or attempts to bypass moderation, access controls, or platform safety systems.
13. Content, reports, and moderation
We may review, remove, hide, reject, restrict, or report content, events, or accounts where we believe they are unsafe, misleading, unlawful, spammy, abusive, or unsuitable for beta testing. Users may report events, profiles, or content. We may review reports and take action, but we do not guarantee a particular outcome.
14. Account suspension or removal
We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the app, provide misleading content, abuse other users, create safety risks, or violate these Terms.
15. Third-party services and links
Maps, directions, events, venues, restaurants, websites, support tools, and other services may be operated by third parties. Outdoorsy is not responsible for every third-party policy, website, operator, offline condition, or external service.
16. Platform intellectual property
The Outdoorsy app, branding, product design, software, and platform content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, except for user, organizer, and third-party content.
17. Privacy
Use of Outdoorsy is also governed by the Privacy Policy. App usage, support requests, reports, analytics, and account deletion requests are handled according to the Privacy Policy.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Outdoorsy is provided during beta on an as-is and as-available basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, refund right, privacy right, or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
19. Governing law
Governing law and jurisdiction language is pending lawyer review. Public beta should not rely on a final jurisdiction clause until counsel confirms the right wording for the launch market.
20. Contact and updates
We may update these Terms as Outdoorsy develops. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms. For support, contact hello@outdoorsyhq.com.
